A garden wedding in Colorado is one with lavish, romantic details and unforgettable mountain views. The element most synonymous with creating a Garden wedding in Colorado is florals. Undeniably, this botanic wedding editorial creates a sense of whimsy with delicate florals, pastel tones, and elevated details. Enchanting wedding day florals in a perfected color palette enhance the overall wedding day experience while adding a touch of romance with their delightful embrace.
For the Colorado garden wedding featured below, the focus was set on curating a simple afternoon. Yet, at the same time, an afternoon steeped in elegance. Though a garden-inspired wedding can be perceived as simplistic, and carefree, adding luxurious elements such as fashion-forward wedding day attire adds a sense of modernity while working to complement a finely crafted love story.
The bride featured below is wearing a fashion-forward bridal gown by Claire de Lune. Floral embroidered details appear from beneath sheer layers of tiered tulle. Additionally, added layers of tulle detail cover the shoulders for a fresh take on a butterfly sleeve. This gown, in particular, has been expertly crafted for any bride who desires a modern meets luxurious look for her garden wedding in Colorado. The groom’s crisp white suit jacket, paired with a matching bowtie, sleek black pants, and a polka dot pocket square adds a feeling of charm to the couple’s take on garden wedding attire.
Although the botanic garden provided a lush tract of hanging vines and blooms on full display, the reception space further displayed voluminous blooms. In keeping with the idea of a simple afternoon, guest seating was set in the midst of the venue. In a garden clearing, a long family-style table was set, ready for guests to partake in celebrating the bride and groom. Low-profile floral arrangements were curated in shades of creamy pink and ivory. Allowing enough room for relaxed conversations while drawing on the surrounding ambiance. Individual settings awaited guests with custom-crafted menus atop each plate and lightly colored stemware and glasses waiting to be filled with libations.
My approach for photographing this garden wedding in Colorado was to capture the essence of the intertwined atmosphere. In the moment, a garden wedding can certainly feel magical, and transoportive. Consequently, the goal was to display that distinctive vibe, with each and every frame. Using the garden pathways, stone structures, and the glowing light peeking through the thicket worked to translate the experience of this garden wedding into wedding day photos to look back on for a lifetime.
