The Exchange was Lariah and Terrance’s chosen wedding venue for a day laced with incredibly intentional moments and emotions overcome with joy. Coming together in a celebration of love, Lariah and Terrance were positively euphoric. From the moment they shared a first look on the wrap-around porch of their wedding venue, it was plain to see the connection they share. Filled with smiles, laughter, and a few happy tears, from that moment on, they enjoyed every moment of their The Exchange at Mount Pleasant wedding as it arrived.

Gently swaying palm trees, an unexpected rain shower, and regal tones, Lariah and Terrance’s wedding at The Exchange venue was wrapped up in subtle details. Once I captured the blissful moments of Lariah and Terrance’s first look, it was time to begin their wedding ceremony. As Lariah made her way down the aisle, she and Terrance locked eyes with one another, altogether feeling the profound importance of their approaching union.
They exchanged vows honoring their faith, with guests blessing their union in prayer. As they were announced husband and wife, Lariah and Terrance ‘jumped the broom’. This black wedding tradition symbolizes the couple’s commitment to one another, solidifying their union while honoring their ancestors. Jumping the broom is also believed to sweep away negative energy. Thus allowing the couple to wipe away the past, entering their marriage with a refreshed perspective.
The beauty of Lariah and Terrance’s union continued with a high-spirited wedding reception at The Exchange at Mount Pleasant. In fact, Terrance and his fraternity brothers planned a serenade for the bride. With Lariah seated, they surrounded her on bended knee and sang a cappella ballad in her honor. The moment was incredibly uplifting, adding to the magnificence of their beautiful love story.
